Academic Administration
The primary objective of the Academic Administration is to ensure good organisation of the daily work of the University while providing students and staff with general information and services. The
motto of the administration is: will to serve, responsibility, cooperation, a positive attitude and ambition.
Steinunn Aðalbjarnardóttir is Director of the Academic Administration.
Student Registration
The head office clerks attend i.a. to general services and the providing of information, telephone answering service, issuing of
certificates, procurement and the provision of office supplies to university staff. Clerks attend to the student registry of the University, the student registration office attends to enrolment of
new students, course and examination registration and cancellations.
Sigrún Harðardóttir is Office Supervisor.
Ólöf Árnadóttir is Office Clerk.
Sæunn Mjöll Stefánsdóttir is Office Clerk.
The service desk is at the main entrance of the university campus Sólborg and it is open every weekday from 08.00 - 16.00.

The Student registration issues certificates of school attendance, confirmed copies of transcripts of records and graduation documentations (Diploma Supplement etc.). It also manages student registration into medical- and resit examinations and confirms medical certificates from students if they have missed an exam because of sickness.
Torfhildur Þorgeirsdóttir (sabbatical leave) is the faculty manager at the office for the faculty of education and Ingibjörg Smáradóttir, office clerk is replacing her until 1st August 2011.
Examination Administration
The organization and supervision of examinations is conducted by the Academic Administration under the management of the Examinations Manager. He publishes examination schedules and exercises supreme
supervision of examinations, turning in of grades and grade registration.

Student Counselling
The Student Counsellor provides students with advisory services i.a. concerning selection of study subjects, study techniques and improved work methods in studies, and also assists students in
resolving personal problems that may arise during the term of study. The Student Counsellor attends to the needs of disabled students in particular and also offers services to foreign students.

International Office
The major task of the Project Manager of International Office is i.a. to deal with applications from exchange students from abroad and to provide them with information and counselling services
concerning admission to the University. Furthermore, provides guidance to those students and instructors of the University who plan to study on a student exchange basis or work abroad.
Rúnar Gunnarsson is Project Manager.
Distance Teaching
The principal task of the Project Manager of distance teaching includes i.a. supervision of distance teaching under the auspices of the University in cooperation with the teaching departments and
department offices. The Project Manager of distance teaching attends to communication with centres of continuing education because of tele-conferences, exercises supervision and renewal of equipment
and software used in distance teaching. He also deals with the giving of courses and user instructions.
Erlendur Steinar Friðriksson and Daníel Freyr Jónsson are project managers in distance teaching.
Information Systems
The main task of the Specialist in information systems is i.a. the development of the Stefanía information system and supervision of the University web.
Stefán Jóhannsson is Specialist in information technology systems.
