Cancer and Palliative Care

In this study programme, students will gain deeper knowledge and obtain a specialisation in the field of oncology and palliative care. This study programme will benefit individuals in their job and empower them to deal with the various challenges that await professionals in service to cancer patients or patients who need palliative care. Cancer incidence has been increasing in recent decades, and continual advances in medical and palliative care call for increased knowledge on the part of health care professionals. The students set their own goals within the programme. Dr. Elísabet Hjörleifsdóttir, Associate Professor, is the Department Head of this study programme.
