Teaching and Learning
The Centre of Teaching and Learning constructs, organizes, and offers on a regular basis seminars for faculty members of the University.
These seminars are introductory seminars and advanced seminars of the software and the equipment that is used at the University i.e. Moodle, Panopto, Office 365, VoiceThread etc.
The Centre also offers personal assistance to faculty members both in pedagogy and IT solutions.
Our main goal is to help develop teaching methods in information technology and pedagogy, both on campus and online. The plan is to use teaching methods which work well within these courses, as models for other courses. Faculty and members of the Centre work together on creating common solutions that can be implemented in other courses at the University.
Moodle is the online course management system used at UNAK. Moodle is developed on pedagogical principles and is used for blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom and other e-learning projects in schools, universities, work places and other sectors.
Panopto is the video platform we use at UNAK to capture lecture recordings, screen casting, video streaming and is the video content management software that the university uses.
The primary objective of the studio is to answer an increasing demand of produced teaching material, provide service to the marketing department and establish a closer working relationship with our media studies department. The project manager also provides consultation for faculty members regarding multimedia solutions and implementation of IT factors into teaching.
