Law Forum: U.S. foreign policy

In Law Forum on March 27th.,  Eric Green,  Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavík and Gregory P. Sims, Regional Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo  will discuss  the U.S foreign Policy, focusing on the Arctic region.

The Law Forum will be held at 13 o´clock in N102, Sólborg at Norðurslóð and is open to all.

Eric Green has been the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavík, Iceland since August 2011. Before coming to Iceland, he was Minister-counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, where he served 2009-11.
His previous assignments include Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Adana, Turkey and Chief of Staff for the Secretary of State´s Policy Planning Office. He worked for five years helping to devise and implement U.S. strategy on the Northern Ireland Peace Process. both Belfast and Washington. His overseas postings were in Kyiv, Ukraine and Manila, Philippines. He began his Foreign Service career in 1990 in Moscow. Eric Green holds a B.A. from Grinnell College and a M.A. in International Relations from Yale University.

Gregory P. Sims is regional political officer at the U.S. Embassy on Oslo. He joined the Stade Department in 1988 and has specialized in Russian politics and transnational issues. Gregory P. Sims holds a B.A. in Russian studies from Mary Washington College.
