Bjarni Már Magnússon. Ph.D candidate at the University of Edinburgh, will deliver a lecture on boundary delimitation agreements that involve the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical
miles.
In the last decade the spotight of international law has been turning more and more towards the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, including boundary delimitations of the shelf between
neighbouring states. In his lecture Bjarni will address the rules applicable to such delimitations and the existing agreements that delimit the continental shelf beyond 200 nm. The lecture will be
given in English.
Bjarni Már Magnússon is a Ph.D candidate at the University of Edinburgh in international law. During his studies he has been involved in litigations before international courts and
tribunals and co-authored a report on Arctic Shipping for the European Commission.
